Season Greetings Everyone,
Hope you are enjoying your holiday season. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your business this year and we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas. We are very grateful for the opportunity we have had to get to know you and your family. Our number one goal at Bushman Cattle Company is your success and we hope that your calves are doing well. Please keep us in the loop on your calves’ progress and if you need any help. If you have any question about the calves, feeding or training please give us a call and we would love to help. We like hearing how they are doing and if you have had any successes yet.

As we are headed into the New Year we just wanted to send out
a few reminders to help you make the most of your purchases from us.
- First, if you have not halter broke your calf yet, it would be a good time to do that. The longer that you wait the larger they get. If you need any tips on this we have broke a few calves over the years and have a few tricks that might help.
- Second, if you have not wormed your calf in the last 60 days it would be a good time to do so. It will help with feed conversion, health and the overall glow of your calf.
- Third, if you are a new exhibitor this is a good time to practice your clipping skills. Nice time of year because when you nick them the hair will grow back. If you want a list of blades and how to use them give us an email and we will let you know what works best.
- Fourth, it is a great time to weigh your calf and get an idea of where they are. With the sale weight and this weight you can do some projecting and see if you’re feeding what the calf needs to meet that “ideal” show weight. If you have any question on feed and what they should be at right now let me know and we can discuss your ration and lbs per day you are feeding. We STRONLGY urge you to push the calves in the winter. They tend to slow down in the summer and it’s always easier to slow them down then push them in the hot summer months.
Again, hope that you are having a great year and please keep
us posted on your project. Take a second
and visit our website. We have added
four new bulls to the battery this fall and we are gearing up to start calving
in 30 days, where does the time fly. We
love this time of the year and welcoming the 2013-14 club calves. Watch our BLOG for details and current events
on the farm. Merry Christmas!
